MsLynn will become famous soon enough
Default Lynn from Oklahoma here

I there, I started this diet yesterday.... hard to loose those sweet cravings.

I started this diet a lil over a year ago and lost 19 pounds, but then my house burned and i had too many other things to worry about. so i'm starting again and hopefully will be able to stay focused. I work at a 911 dispatch center so sometimes if i wanna eat i don't get much of a choice whatever a medic/officer will bring me, but i try to take my lunch from home as often as possible.

ok, i'll shut up now. hehehe

anyone know how you get those cool tickers in your siggy line?

Hi Lynn! Welcome!

I know one of my big obstacles when I began was lunch and forcing myself to pack one! I've always been prone to just grabbin something while at work. It doesn't work! I literally forced myself to pack up my salad and lunch each day and now it's really become habit to do it each day.

Good luck! And those sweet cravings will die off soon - don't let them get to ya!

you can get / design your tickers at a few places, I've used www.tickerfactory.com and ya put them in your signature here.

I think this will be one instance that you will NOT want to leave your health in the hands of a Medic...bring your own lunch every day! Remember bring snacks and don't let people talk you into "just one bite". Start using fit day as soon as you can so you can SEE what you are eating. www.fitday.com
Anyhoo, glad to see you here. It's a wonderful board

What a coinky-dink. Another 911 operator. Well 'sista I feel ya! 12 hour shifts make it hard to plan 2 meals a day at work. I just pack everything at night for the next day (mostly leftover protien) and a nice salad, and a cpl of eggs for breakfast. Stay away from the Cops w/Donuts!!!!

Hello MsLynn!! Welcome back to Atkins!! Since you've lost weight before, you know it works. (sorry to hear about your house!) There's a lot of support on these Boards, so feel free to read through the various threads and make some posts.

There's a great Atkins Bootcamp program here. I highly recommend it, so when the time comes around again, sign up if you can commit to it for two weeks. Good luck in your endeavors!
