| Hi Tiggs, welcome! Don't be afraid to ask questions and post! As a beginner, it's always a good idea to read the stickies about induction, FAQs, and even about using ADBB. If you'd like, post a couple menus and you'll be sure to get feedback on how you're doing. Are you exercising? There are some great challenges on the board right now to keep you motivated and active. Are you drinking your water? Best of success!

| Hi Tiggs! Welcome to the Board! It's great to meet you! This board is a buffett (no pun intended) of information. Just like Julie said, read those sticky's in the forums. They have been created by members just like yourself in moments of clarity and success, as a reminder of just how easy this way of life is. My name is Scooter, and I'd like to welcome you to our happy humble corner of the internet. You will find so many helpful forums here, there are recipes, restaurant suggestions, review my menu, health, there is a private forum for women, and men, so many ways to remain steadfast in your conviction to live this way. Congratulations on your weight loss so far, excellent job. Do you have your Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition book (DANDR)? If not, we highly recommend picking one up. I mean seriously, this site offers just as much information, but by reading the book, you will grasp how the blueprint (that's really the only way to explain it) that Dr Atkins set up for us to live was developed. Why it works, how it works, and how to follow it step by step. Anyway, it is so nice to meet you, do not be a stranger, pop in and out of the forums, don't be afraid to ask questions, these are great folks here, willing to assist as they can! Best of wishes! Life is good! |

I am exercising a minimum of 30 mins of the elliptical everyday. I find I'm rather foggy and my arms and legs are really sore/weak right now. Even washing my hair in the morning is a painful job. I've been breaking up the elliptical into two or three attempts but totalling at least 30 mins each day. Thanks for the tip on the exercise challenges. I'm going to check those out. Water...yes lots of it. I'm not sur how many glasses I'm drinking a day as I stopped counting at 12. I seem to be REALLY thirsty and the 24oz. glass I fill up isn't last very long at all. Thanks for the welcome and the tips |

I'm honestly not sure what the book I have is called. I'll have to check it when I get home. It's got a yellow cover and may be an older book as I bought it when I first attempted Atkins many years ago. At that time it didn't seem to work well for me but since having the boys it's been working great. EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
