Default Not New.. Just a Re-Intro

Ugh.. Sigh.. *eye roll*.. Here I am again because I was a bad girl. I want to throw it out there that I.MESSED.UP before I go any further with the re intro. I was doing great last May, after a horrible break up with my ex, when I started Atkins. I lost a total of 70 pounds and felt great! I had went from 425 to 355 (I'm 5'10''). I went from NOT fitting in jeans to having to many pair in my closet and a few were too big! I was about a size 24-26. Then in September I was hospitalized with an inflammation on my spinal cord from MS. After that was all better, the holidays crept up on me. I love how there is always an overabundance of candy for every holiday. Christmas? That holiday just slaughtered my willpower. I avoided this board because I felt guilty. I just kept fouling up.. day after day.. Now only one pair of jeans fit.. My shirts are starting to show all my rolls and I feel like poop! Oh, and to top it all off.. I got a wonderful boyfriend now.. He says he would love me no matter how much I weighed, but that's not the issue.. I wanna look good for myself and him. I'm taller than him and, without getting to graphic, there are certain, um, situations we get into that might go a little smoother if I lost weight
My #1 problem is that I'm LAZY! it has to stop... in fact, it stops today.. I'm going to the gym after work and that's that.. Will start Induction tomorrow.. If I can get through a Friday here at an office full of donuts and cake, I can get through any day of the week... thanks for reading! I'm glad to be back!

Welcome back Aquaryus! It's great that you decided to re-commit to Atkins and better health.

Don't worry about the past... just learn from it. Focus on the future and your goal and hop right back on the wagon. Be prepared with legal high fat snacks for when/if cravings hit. Drink your water and exercise... you know the ropes!

I guess that’s the key – you’re doing it for YOURSELF. You want to feel good and look fresh - everybody wants that…

I am new here but anyhow I feel I just have to tell you, that you must never ever feel guilty for falling of the wagon (that’s well what it is called…). You are always welcome the way you are, anytime.

I understand that feeling though, as I cheated two days ago and was sitting in front of my desk and thinking: What the heck, I don’t need to tell no one, they will never know about it anyway… Especially have being on board the first day and ALREADY cheating. I felt soooo poor and worthless. But guess what, this board is supposed to make us feel good, to help us all and to bring more fun into our life. We are allowed to be the way we are.

So: FORGETT about Christmas, FORGETT about the sweets, it is all history. FOCUS on what you want to achieve.

Welcome to the board sweetheart!! I loved your post, it shows determination and motivation. Trust me, I'm right there with you on that Christmas thing. My name is Scooter, I have lost 73 pounds following this way of life. I had a slight detour at Christmas time, started with (1) one uno cookie, and 5 weeks later I'd put back on 14 pounds!!! I've since lost that plus some more, so don't roll those pretty eyes, it happens!!

Anyway, I came back more focuses, more determined, and my fine friends here at ADBB asked me to host the Spotlight and welcome Newbies and ReStarter's such as yourself back into the spotlight! Sooooo here I am, and here you are! Excellent choice!! Baarb was right...stare down those donuts, you don't need them anymore, you've got us!! This board is a buffett of Success Stories and motivation.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome! I did go to the gym last night as promised and I am going to walk again tonight. I felt really good after walking only a half mile and lifting some weights. I had been depressed over the past few days and I'm starting to think it's because I'm not active! We will see how my mood changes as I go through this. Those 70 pounds I lost before was done with very light excersize, I can only imagine what it would have been if I would have done more instense training. I also remember feeling good emotionally. I am definately going to use this board as a tool again and not be ashamed of a slip up, if it happens. Thanks again!

hi and WELCOME! you are gonna LOVE it here!!! i am pretty new myself but i checked out this site and decided to STAY because the folks here are the GREATEST!~

don't look backward....just look ahead. what do you have to look forward to? feeling better than you ever have before and great health.....lost weight is a nice added benefit!

Welcome. We're glad you've joined us. Having a support group that cares about you and encourages you to succeed is the best motivator to keep you focused. I don't think you are lazy...just adapting to starting a new Way of Life. (WOL). Get a plan developed that will work into your schedule and keep reminding yourself how good it makes you feel and how great you're going to look. Come here often, get active in the forums, join the challenges (20/24 is a great way to start - in the challenge forum) and make friends with those who are doing it. Best wishes. Keep us posted on your progress.
