| Hi Dave. So happy to see you re-committing and feeling more energy. There is so much support here. Everyone is great at encouraging each other to make it happen. Get active in the forums, join the challenges, keep a journal, and make lots of friends. Thats the best way to get motivated and not feel alone. You can do it, we are all here for you. I'd tried everything for 40+ years and thanks to Dr. Atkins, I've never felt or looked better in my life. We're here for you!

| Dave... it's really good news that you've come back to Atkins. Welcome! Soon you'll be feeling fantastic and looking trimmer. Don't worry about Atkins being unhealthy. Most people find that after a few weeks their numbers (cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar) improve dramatically. If you think about it... after induction (and most of the diet is post-induction, or should be) all you are doing is cutting out sugar, refined flours and highly processed foods while increasing your veggies. Nothing very unhealthy about that. The fat you eat is necessary... as you use it for fuel, so it doesn't have those unhealthy repercussions... (besides, there is lots of evidence that saturated fats are not the evil monsters they've been made out to be for so long... quite the contrary). Join a challenge, start a journal, make friends... there's lots for everyone here at ADBB. Happy losing!

Tell you what, why not hop on over to the Second Time Around Club (STACer's we lovingly refer to ourselves as) and say hello. We have a daily Roll Call, and everybody discuss goals, concerns, exercise, food, plan, etc. We'd love to have you there each day. It's for those of us (including me, who have slipped from the plan into the dark only to be redirected back into the light!) Thanks for joining the winning team, glad your on board for the big WIN!! Don't be a stranger, make yourself known, and keep posting that progress and success! It's addictive around here, people love hearing about your success!! It sheds light on them to know that this can be done!! Best of luck! |

| Thanks all of you. Your pictures are very inspirational. I'll stop by the other threads as well. I would really like to find a thread that talks about a few success stories regarding how blood pressure decreases, cholesterol goes down, etc. I just want to get off of these goofy medicines for blood pressure. Thanks again, Dave EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
