You should probably also pick up the 2002 version of the book instead of the earlier ones, since that had some modifications by Dr. Atkins.

Umm.. pumpkin thingie - 1 or 2oz cream cheese (nuke 'til soft), mix together with 1 or 2 pkts splenda, 1 egg, 1/4c pumpkin puree. Microwave for about 3.5 minutes or until firm. It also works without the egg. For anything I use splenda, you can also use the syrups... I have used them, just not as often..

I'm not really a cook, so I just mutilate other people's recipes to suit my fancy.

Hi Lola, the veggie pusher here again! It really is important to eat the foods up the rungs as Dr. A suggests. This is a lifestyle change, and you need to be eating from every food group, especially veggies!

Please check out this forum, do lots of reading there so you really get it and step out of denial! You should be enjoying all foods, not getting stuck in the rut most of do with extended induction!

I guess that's exactly what happened with my bars. I don't exactly know how to find my CCLL. I'll have to go back to the book. I have read the book, (bought it in 94) and recently picked it up again for support, but never quite indulged in the nitty gritty details, since the basics worked pretty darn well for me until now. I see that it's time to really go by the book now and put some more effort in.
I can't wait to try the coco 'n cream cheese! I had already been experimenting in the warm cream cheese (and an occasional drop of sugar free syrup!) and it was very satisfying.

Unbelievable how talking (typing) things out really help put things into perspective!! THANK YOU!

Good decision to go by the book... that's the real way to success! If you can get a hold of the 2002 edition (which Dr A completely revised), that's the one the board goes by.
You can also read the stickies in the OWL forum. Very useful and informative.
Yes... I overdid the wine and cheese over Christmas a bit . Sometimes I think being in maintenance is harder than being in the weight loss phase!

Thanks Silly & Sally (LOL)! I really do need to get my hands on the 2002 book because I don't even know what the word "rung" means! I'm on day 2 of bar and french vanilla creamer withdrawals, and I'm not in much pain LOL. I'm going to start keeping a journal of everything I consume. Someone suggested a site that you can do this at and counts your carbs?
