| A big THANK YOU to everyone who's responded. I do appreciate all your wisdom and support. In response to the last comment, does that mean that becuause of my pregnancy it will take my metabolism two years to go back to normal? I had read that somewhere already but failed to believe it since soooo many ladies out there lose all the weight really quick after their deliveries. If I'm already eating healthy, excercing 4-5 times a week, drinking tons of water.....it's not fair!!! I'm a stay home mom for now and don't go back to work until August. This means I have from now till then to lose weight and fit into my clothes. I refuse to go out there and spend hundreds on a new wardrobe. So I'm thinking that if I eat the same thing every day during induction (however many weeks I need to do it) maybe I will lose weight and jumpstart my metabolism all over again. Besides the menus suggested in the book, does anyone have more options? Do you eat snacks during induction like cheese? I know the book says it's allowed and I do eat about 2 or 3 cheese strings a day as snacks. Could this be what's ruining my fat burning process? Any suggestions anyone? Any sample menus you can share with me that might help me besides the one in the book?

| It will not take you 2 years to get back to pre-baby shape if you follow the plan and get plenty of exerize. If you are eating over the recommended amount of cheese then it could be a reason. There are lots of different snacks out there, check the recipe section and Linda's Low Carb Website. Staying on Induction for extra time is not necessarily the answer either. Most people lose most of their weight on OWL and doing the rungs. The big myth about Atkins is that people think they will continue to lose induction amounts if they stay on induction. That is really not the case at all. Our bodies lose a lot in the beginning because it is getting rid of excess water and shifting gears to a new WOE. But ideally you really DONT want to lose that fast all the time. There is truth to the saying 'the slower it comes off the more likey it will stay off', and thats what it is all about here. Keeping it off. Everyone is different. You need to find your rhythm and not expect too much too soon. Keep coming in here for support and read other peoples stories. You will find it really is the rare person that can lose it all really fast and keep it off. |

| Hi Elsy, welcome to the board! You've been given some wonderful answers. All I can say is, stick with it, the weight will come off. This is a lifetime change in eating style. You don't need to eat the same thing every day, that's the beauty of this. Even in induction, vary your menu so you don't get bored! Best advice I can give you is to come around the board daily for support! EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
