| Good luck! This is my second time too. I haven't cheated and surprisingly have no cravings but it doesn't seem the weight is dropping off like it did the first time. I wish you much success. I couldn't run the tredmill for 30 seconds let alone 30 minutes. lol |

| ms, don't fret over the relapse. Drink some extra water to help flush out the bad carbs and get back on the wagon. Kudos for going right home and taking it out on the treadmill! You have a great attitude and that is half the battle! Happy losing!

| Welcome Msmichelle! You came to the right place for friendly advice about Atkins, for support and for motivation. Don't look to the past... learn from it. Try to recognise the factors that cause you to waver and fall. To know your triggers is to deal with them more easily. You'll find that the longer you stay cheat free the easier it gets... and eventually you won't miss the carby "treats" (so called) at all. Hang in there lowcarbwise, drink plenty, exercise and focus firmly on your goal. You so can do this, and we're here to help!

| Thanks so much for the replies! I have decided to forgive myself for the whole cake incident(I gave myself a stern talking to..lol) I also decied that running the treadmill wasn't that bad so I plan to do it 15 mins in the morning and 15 at night daily. I told myself I wouldn't weigh again until after the induction period ends(i'm on day 8 woo hoo), so I'm not sure of my progress. I read that measuring yourself is good, so I need to get a tape measure. Any advice on what exactly to measure? Sounds silly, but I've never done it before. I'll take all the help I can get. Happy Monday everyone! SW 318 GW 175 |

| Hi Michelle! Welcome to the board. There are plenty of second-time-arounders here, we've all been there, done that. The point is, you are back! Post often on the board so we can see how you're doing.

| Welcome Msmichelle, I'm glad you decided to forgive yourself. You recognized what you did and you took care of it in a constructive way, getting right back at it. As far as measuring, great idea! I wish I had done it when I first started. A great online log is at w.fittogether.net , and you can log your progress. And for those parties and future temptation... I try and take a cheese stick in my purse, open and start munching. Cake doesn't sound so good when you have cheese in your mouth We're all here for you EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
