Exclamation New Here.. Cheat after cheat!!

I'm Danie, I'm 28 yrs old .. have a lovely husband and 3yr old..
I started Atkins 2 weeks ago.. but I have cheated 3 times since then (and what a way to cheat!!!)
I hope you guys can help me get back on track.. The stories I've been reading here are AMAZING. I wanna be like you guys!!! Help me please!!!

Welcome Daniejim! Glad you found us here at ADBB. You'll find it a great place for encouragement and friendly advice.

Sounds like you're having a few difficulties. Well, yes induction can be hard, but rest assured, if you stick with it for the two weeks of induction without getting derailed you'll find your cravings diminish amazingly. So does your appetite. It makes resisting so much easier.

Drink masses of water; do some exercise and try to focus on the prize. Every time you're tempted to cheat, think about how totally horrid you'll feel just seconds after indulging in your carby "treat"... and on how wonderful you'll feel when you hit goal. Trust me, that's the most fantastic sensation there is. Well worth working for.

Post lots and ask any questions you might have. We're here for ya!

Hi Dani! Cheated 3 times already? Good thing you came here and welcome! Can you pinpoint something in particular that prompted you to cheat? The best advice I can give you is to come to this board when you feel like you want to cheat. We can talk you thru it! I think coming to the board in the first place means you are serious about losing your weight. You can do it!

Hi and Welcome.. My advice to when you feel a cheat coming on is to keep telling yourself I do not need this..I can make it through this day.. A few times in the beginning I had to just go to bed early... You can do this..but you have to plan...

THANX FOR YOUR ADVICE GUYS!!! Ilost 10 pounds in my first week and I feel soo much better!! so encouraged!!! I don't wanna cheat anymore !!! yeah, the cravings are gone .. the temptations are still in my pantry (I have a toddler who eats cereal and a husband that loves tortillas!!).. but he was astonished when he saw I went from 205 to 195 in a week!!! OMG!! I'm so excited... thank you all!!! I think I'm jumping to another forum .. the success stories of course!!... Glad I found this forum. God Bless you All

Hi Danie,

Find a picture of you when you were your desired weight. Then get a small journal and write down everything. How you feel, what you ate, at what time, and how you felt afterward. Also, write down how much exercise you did, and how much water you drank. On the front cover of the journal, paste or staple the picture of you that you have at your desired weight. On the back, have a picture of you at the weight that you are now. The hopes is that, the front cover shows a new beginning, a new you, the back once you have reached your goal weight will shed light on how far you've accomplished. I also try to think of myself in situations where people will tell me how good I look, and how much weight I've lost. This seems to help me, and I hope it helps you.

yes I am.. but you know I've lost just 3 more since last week... Iwent to review menu forum and it seems I've been eating less calories than I should (not to mention that I don't start working out yet) but I feel so embarrased of seeing my flabby tummy thighs and all over jumping OMG it's a horrible feeling ... jiggling all around .. so I thought of starting when I lose a little bit more.. I know sounds stupid, but I've been full of complexes since a was a little girl I don't know if you can understand me...

A friend of mine once said "Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels." That advice has saved me from temptation more than once!
