FatFighters is on a distinguished road
Default Hi all, I'm new and starting Induction

Hi all my name is Rosalyn and I live i the UK. I am 31 years old and live with my hubby Alan and two kids Conell (6) and Shannon(10). Food has always been a struggle in our house because I am a funny eater, and after Conell was diagnosed with Autism at 3yrs he became a funny eater too.

Neither me or Alan have been slim slim, but after quitting smoking we piled on stones!! when I saw 18 stone on my scales I knew it was time to do something. Alan is also doing atkins and has sucessfully 23lbs! He loves meat and the protien diet along with some salads is really working for him and he's decided to stay on extended induction.

I have been researching recipes etc like mad seeing if this sort of plan could work for me and fingers crossed this one will. Exercise, and being motivated to do it might be a struggle but i have all the equipment here so I really have no excuses. Giving up drink will be hard, but it has to be done. Anyway this board has given me some great advice already so thanks guys and I hope it will continue now I can join in and post

Dont worry you'll be sick of me posting soon

Helllooooo there. I'm from UK too. Cornwall to be exact. And I am new to the Forum too. You quit smoking. How fantastic. That is one of my goals - but I'm not there yet. Isn't Atkins great!? This is me starting again 'cos I lost all my weight then got complacent and put some of it back on. But I'm proud of myself that I caught myself before putting it all back on. Best of luck to you and your hubby. My partner is doing Atkins with me too. We're having a lot of fun "Atkinsing" favourite recipes. Isn't it lovely having someone to do the programme with. Wishing you every success. Let's face it ... you stopped smoking. Compared to that, Atkins will be a total breeze.

Hi Rosalyn and Alan, welcome to the board! Congrats on quitting smoking and Alan's loss so far is awesome! It's so great you're researching recipes, there are so many out there and most are really yummy too. You won't feel like you're missing anything at all.
