Default Hello, Im new!

Hello, my name is Cassius, and Im fourteen, I am currently 173, I have been on the atkins since yesterday June 23. I didnt know if I was going to make it though, being tempted by cookies & pizza yesertday! But I managed, I am trying to go back to school healthy and not so large! I am 5'3. Here is a picture of me before: Please give me some movtivation, thats all i need!

Hey! Well, I am a tad bit older than you (21) but totally realize what it is like to go to school feeling chubby. I am also starting Atkins but have done it before for like 2 weeks and in those two weeks I lost around 10 pounds!!! It is great! As long as you know exactly how many carbs you are eating and your percentages from fat/protein you will be fine. A great website to track your food is fitday.com. It helps with the percentages. But hey, we are starting out around the same weight and our goal is around the same too so if you need a motivational buddy to go through this with I would be happy! I definetely need somebody to go through this with! anyways, message me if you need anything!

Thank you so much! Yesterday, I didnt know what to do.. My mother made pizza, and said don't eat it..Back away..Because she is always trying to help me about my weight..but sometimes I just give in.. A big part of it is school though, I feel low a lot, I hate looking in the mirror. I rarely live the house without a jacket, because I feel it hides the fat, but its summer, and I cant walk around with one!

Hey Cassius - you are SOOOOOO welcome here. What a great age to start Atkins. I was the girl who was always the fattest in school and it's horrible. But .. I do know that Atkins works and it is worth saying no to the pizza. You will see the weight dropping off in no time at all. That jacket will be a thing of the past soon, and you will be the girl wearing the cute lil summery tops. Hang in there hon. We are here whenever you need support. Lotsa luv to you.

Hi Cassie. I'm not to far away from feeling like that myself (im 22), I was one of the "fat girls" in school too. Don't be discouraged, this is a great age to start because you can take controll of your diet now and get out of that phase NOW. Try your hardest to resist temptation, after a while, you wont even crave that stuff anymore. good luck and keep us posted

Hi Cassius! Welcome to the board. Have you seen the teen forum? There are a few others on the board, they all seem to be shy about posting in the teen forum, but you should check it out! Good for you for to skip the cookies and pizza! That's a big hurdle to overcome! Good luck to you!
