| Hiya Jim and welcome! Glad you decided to de-lurk and post here with us. First... congratulations on your awesome losses so far. You've done soooooo well!! ![]() As for your six week pause... well, these pauses happen to everyone, and it's certainly true that the less you have to lose, the slower will be the weight loss. It's also worth remembering that now that you are at a considerably lower weight than when you started, your body needs less food to fuel it. This is a sad truth...and there are two ways to combat it: Either you adjust your food intake down, or you add extra exercise. So... I think you're thinking is absolutely right on the adding a walking programme. Try to make your walk speedy rather than leisurely... you want to raise your heartbeat a bit, to help with the burn, burn, burn! Why not also join two of our challenges: The Pledging flights challenge, where we get to count our flights of stairs and virtually climb all sorts of buildings and mountains worldwide... and the weekly pedometer challenge. They're both great fun and make you aware of how much you're moving (be it climbing stairs or walking). They can also be done throughout the day whilst going about your usual routine. Just a suggestion! Post lots and keep us updated on your progress. We're rooting for ya!

| Just wanted to drop by and give you a big pat on the back Jim. Congrats on your huge loss so far. Everyone experiences the pauses in weight loss. The walking will be instrumental in getting that scale moving again. I have been hovering at the same weight for some time now but I am not giving up. I can tell the inches are leaving and more muscle is showing up. be patient my friend. I hope we both get to that magic number of 218 together. Talk at you later, brady
