| Hiya Debs and welcome! You've done wonderfully well to give up smoking and caffeine so far. Now, after a few weeks on Atkins you'll be ultra healthy!!! Kudos to you for reading the book. | Welcome, Inky! I agree with everyone... kudos for reading the book as your first step. This is the only way of eating I've ever been successful losing weight with, and that's because of what you said... it's my kind of food! Even though I used to be a carb/sugar-a-holic, not having to give up the rich and creamy sauces, butter, and cheese really has made a difference in my staying power. This board is a great resource -- I encourage you to visit often! Best of luck to you...
