| Most people lose 5 - 10% of their excess weight during induction. Since you have 34 pounds to lose that would mean a loss of about 3 lbs would be normal. In reality some people lose a little more those percentages, but that is often because of loss of water weight. However you have lost a third of the total weight you need to lose in just 6 weeks - that ain't bad by any reckoning! PLus you are seeing change in how you look - are you measuring? Have you lost inches? Are you still on induction? How many carbs are you eating? Where are they coming from? What else are you eating/drinking? It might be useful for you to post an average days menus - in detail, including amounts, just in case.

| Yes, I agree too... if you look at the average percentages for initial weight loss on ATkins, you're doing very well indeed. No need to worry. Also... are your clothes feeling looser? | Hi rsodonnel. Welcome to the board. I too think you're doing fine so far. Posting your menus in the review my menu forum is a great way to be sure. Lots of knowlegable people will help you out there. You can also start a Stat Journal for yourself. Only you can post to it, but lots of people track their food in them. You can do it!
