| You don't have to eat red meat if you don't like it. I don't eat a lot of red meat either, maybe once or twice a week. Just add fat in your cooking. A tablespoon of olive oil or butter or some mayonaise is often enough to make a meal high fat. Glaze your veg with butter or oil, fry your chicken or fish. Dress your salads. Add a little cream to a sauce or soup. It probably won't take as much fat as you imagine to get your proportions right - there is a great thread about fat here that will make it much clearer.

| Welcome aboard Carolyn! Kate is spot on... you don't have to eat red meat if you don't like it... plenty of other good protein choices. Her suggestions of upping the fat in your meals are also very good. It isn't hard to raise the fat. Just a small amount of oil/mayo/butter/cream will do the trick. Happy losing!

You do not have to eat red meat. However, do eat the skin of the chicken and cook your fish in olive oil or butter. It truly is the fat that's going to help you lose weight and stay satisfied.

| Congratulations on your one-week results. The others are right - use the butter, olive oil and mayo for your fat intake. I'm not a big red-meat fan...but love my tuna and chicken and fish.
