A big welcome to you! I needed to lose at least 150 pounds when I started out on this wonderful and healthy way of eating. I've now lost 120 of those pounds, and love all the foods that I am allowed to eat. I know I would have never stuck it out this long without the help of this support board. I have learned so much, not just about losing weight, but truly making this a lifestyle--something I can do and enjoy for life.

I always liked a wide variety of foods, but now I eat and enjoy so many foods I never would have tried, had I not read about it here. Read and post often. Join challenges. It's all good!

Sunny!

Congratulations on making the decision to love you and do it for your personal benefit. It feels good. My boyfriend and I are doing this together and have just ended out first week. He has lost 12lbs already and I 7lbs. I can understand your frustration but I am glad to hear you are not letting it get to you.

After this first week I have found that I am actually eating healthier then I was before. I am getting my correct amount of veggies and water. I am not going to eat out as much and in the end my body is appreciating the woe way more then before. Good luck to you although I know you won't need it. Keep reading this site as well it is very motivational.

Welcome. So happy you've joined us. I had 145 pounds to lose when I began...but I learned to not focus on that, but instead to take baby-steps and concentrate on 10 pounds at a time. You can do it. Have you read the book so you understand how it works and what to do to make it happen?

Jump in here, make friends, join challenges, create a journal and have fun as you change your unhealthy habits into new healthy ones. This is the best support group for finding people who really care and want to see you succeed. Hope to see you post often and share your success with us!

I'm stumbling around the boards like a drunken dancer...where do I start a journal? lol.

And yes I have books....I have loads of books. I'm going to re-read them all and get my mind where it should be-on my health.

So here I am, only having lost a couple of months progress and ready to do this for life. I have a lot of weight to lose, but my goal for now is to hit the 400's, then the 300's and my goal of all goals is 250. I'm one of those people that are truely big boned so 250 will look fine on me and at 250 I hope I don't have too much excess skin.

One thing I am discouraged about....men. lol, it's not fair they lose so fast!!!! My hubby can half *** it and still lose weight. I read the threads about losing 200+ and they were all men. I am trying not to let that get to me because any loss is a good loss.

I will probably be on induction for a long time as I have loads of weight to lose, but I accept that reality.

I'm ready to do this!

I am starting on Wednesday as we need to do proper grocery shopping and won't be able to do that until Tuesday night. I'm looking forward to it.

I am starting a 540lbs. I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
Welcome to the board learning2loveme! Happy that you joined us here. I had to lose 150 pounds when I first started. I stayed on induction for quite awhile too. About ten months without a cheat. The weight just melts off! Not only that, I became a much healthier person for it too. No more Type-2 diabetes and no more high blood pressure. This is the best lifestyle anyone could ask for. Post often, make friends, and join challenges. I look forward to seeing you here!
