Default Hundreds to Lose...

Hello everyone.

I started atkins 2 months ago and lost about 30lbs. I have since gained it all back due to taking everyone elses advice about "needing" grains etc. I regret giving in. My body reacts differently to sugars and flour/grains and my caring friends don't seem to get that.

So here I am, only having lost a couple of months progress and ready to do this for life. I have a lot of weight to lose, but my goal for now is to hit the 400's, then the 300's and my goal of all goals is 250. I'm one of those people that are truely big boned so 250 will look fine on me and at 250 I hope I don't have too much excess skin.

One thing I am discouraged about....men. lol, it's not fair they lose so fast!!!! My hubby can half *** it and still lose weight. I read the threads about losing 200+ and they were all men. I am trying not to let that get to me because any loss is a good loss.

I will probably be on induction for a long time as I have loads of weight to lose, but I accept that reality.

I'm ready to do this!

I am starting on Wednesday as we need to do proper grocery shopping and won't be able to do that until Tuesday night. I'm looking forward to it.

I am starting a 540lbs. I look forward to sharing my journey with you.

Love the name. Loving ourselves seems to be quite difficult sometimes; we give out our love and forget to keep some close.

You have come to the right place. People on here are number 1. They really are sincere when they wish you the best.

You can do this!!!!!

Hi, learning, and welcome! We have at least one woman on ADBB who has lost 200lbs, maybe more, named IrishIrish. She pops in from time to time to give great advice to us.

We are all here for you, Learning, and look forward to celebrating with you as you work towards meeting your health and weight loss goals!

Welcome to ADBB!! Your screen name is wonderful & learning to love ourselves is part of this journey...at least it is for me. This is a fantastic place to come for support, encouragement, knowledge & friendship.

Keep your DANDR book handy for referal. Dr. A talks about how we need to ask other people to respect our needs. Do what you know is right for you!!

Start a journal, join some of the challenges & post often. I look forward to hearing how your journey goes.

Hi Learning!!! Welcome to ADBB!!!
You'll get lots of support here. The Journal section is great too (that's where I get a lot of support), and it has helped me to be able to write my feelings there

I started telling people I'm allergic to sugar, rice, pasta, bread etc. LMAO!!! It helped a lot Good luck with everything sweetie

Hey Learningtoloveme,

Welcome to the ADBB! It is frustrating that men lose so fast but there are so many women on here that have been successful at losing 100 pounds or more. You can do it! And we'll look forward to reading your success story in the future.

I have 200 pounds to lose too so we can do this together! I recently restarted Atkins after losing and gaining back 70 pounds. Atkins is the only thing that has ever worked for me and I am determined to get the weight off for good this time. If you ever need someone to talk with, vent with, cheer with, cry with, feel free to PM me.

Oh, and stop by the Century Club (for members with 100 or more pounds to lose). We have a roll call every morning, just for us to check in with each other and report how we're doing. Hope to see you around. Happy Losing!

Warm welcome to the board Learningtoloveme! Very glad you decided to ignore your well-wishing friends' advice and get back on the Atkins plan. I know you'll find your health improves dramatically after just a while of eating this way, let alone the weight loss.

Come to the board often... it's great for support and inspiration.

Happy losing!
