Default First time at this.....

Hello Everyone!!!

This is my first time going the Atkins way! My start date was Monday January 7th. I have not cheated nor do I really want to cheat.. except that right now I'm pmsing so my body is craving those carbs! But I WILL NOT CAVE!!! I've been reading these boards for days now and love the great insight and information that all of you bring. It has helped me a lot with food choices and morale as for my first week the scale really didn't budge although my clothes felt a little looser, so I guess I'll be losing inches first!

Jan 7th - Starting weight - 170 lbs
Today (Jan 17th) - 166 lbs

I've lost and gained weight since I was 14 yrs old. I've always stuggled with exercise and eating right. I'm an emotional eater so at times it has been hard... I would fall into times in my life that I just didn't care about what I ate. In 2006 I lost 35-40 lbs just by eating healthy and exercising. But I let most of it creep back on me and now I want to get rid of it again!

How much do you have to lose? you may want to put your stats in your signature (click on User CP and edit signature) it helps people out for answering any questions you may have!

Welcome. Glad you're having good results and committed to making it happen. You can do it. Find alternative things to do when you have moments when your body is craving carbs....go walking, exercising, writing in journal or coming here for support. We are all here and cheering you on!

Thanks everyone!!! Well I'm on day 12 today though I haven't weighed in yet. As of yesterday I'm up to 5 lbs. It's slow going, but I feel great! I'm amazed at how great I'm doing and that I'm not even thinking about eating junk!!! It seems too easy. Thanks for all the hellos and support... what a great forum!

As of yesterday: 165 lbs
Goal: 135-140 lbs.
