Well, for one, don't cheat. Also, plan ahead. If you have your food in place, you wont' mess up. I am the worst procratinator and this has hurt me before but this time I have made sure I didn't have to worry about that. Make sure you drink plenty of water and it is actually best if you only drink water to maximize your results. Towards the mid to end of the first week, you aren't going to feel well, just don't give up. Come here and post a lot and read a lot. We are here to help you. I am sleepy so this might be a little incoherent.

Welcome back John. Write out the obstacles that caused you to fall off the wagon and write out new improved plans of what you'll do instead of eating the wrong foods. With a thought out plan in place, it will be easier to avoid tempations and keep going to goal. Wishng you the very best of luck and hope you come here often, make friends and get active in our family of losers.

| Welcome! This way of eating has worked for me but it comes with a bit of discipline and planning. Get on a good multivitamin too. I would advise you to read as much as you can. Your body will probably protest that change but stay the course~ you will succeed if you do not cheat - even a little. The objective in induction is to get into ketosis and stay there for 2 weeks or so. I felt sick, my cheeks were constantly red, I was dizzy and just wanted to give up. THEN the burst of energy hit and I thought that I could scale a mountain! Quite the rush! It gave me perspective and made me want to keep going. Then the pounds go down and you feel terrific! I keep a journal in the stats and I use fitday. I have also discovered that I am a rather boring eater and usually eat the same things just in different ways. I have a supportive honey who encourages me even though he cant see a difference. He was honest atleast. I am down 13 pounds in starting my 4 week. This is a great support forum and they are the veterans who know the ropes!! See you around the boards.

Welcome to ADBB. My suggestions for you are visit around the board, get involved with whatever challenges that interest you, and read your book. The book will answer many questions you have but feel free to post any that you are unclear about. I am sure you will get several responses. Best of luck to you.

Welcome back John. I am sure you will do fine. I recommend keeping your short term goal in mind the first two weeks, taking it ONE DAY AT A TIME and PRAY. You will do fine.
