Default One more Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Pam and I have been a member of this board for a few years now. I have been successful with my weightloss a couple of times - losing over 60 lbs. But life always has a way of throwing a monkey wrench in my plans and progress.

In short, I have dealt with the death of my mother, then my sister and finally my Grandmother. All of these deaths occurred within 5 months of each other. My Grandmother's death was to be expected (she was 94) however, my Mom (66) and Sister (49) was a total shock.

So that's enough of that.....time to make things right.

I feel terrible. I have gained most of my 60 lbs back. I have no confidence, no motivation, no engery and everything in my body aches. I am a walking talking disaster.

I do suffer from High Blood Pressure and when I had lost my 60 lbs I was almost off my HBP meds.

I know this program works - it's the only one that has ever worked for me. It has never failed me - however I certainly have failed it.

I have an addiction to food and I'm sure this is what continues to keep me stumbling along my journey.

So I am back. Restarted today- on Induction. It's time to take charge of my life - and take my life back and live it to the fullest!

Looking forward to the journey ahead with each of you!

Pam

Pam...{Hugs} Glad you've committed to getting control of your life and taking care of yourself. Make lots of friends here as everyone understands and is here for you. Keeping a journal and developing an exercise routine is great therapy and ways to create positive thoughts and actions. I remember you and you did very well before, I'm sure you'll be able to jump back into the program and succeed again.

For me creating new food choices to take the place of foods that weren't healthy for me was what kept me from falling.

Write out the foods that you reach for as comfort foods. Find acceptable substitutes that you can eat instead. For potatoes, I learned to fix cauliflower. For pizza, I made the crustless pizza. For chips I used pepperoni or cheese crisps.(melted cheese). After a while, you'll find that you've developed wise habits and won't be making the wrong choices. Utilize the board to find ideas, get back into the swing of the program and to make friends. We're all here for you.
