| Hello Joe! Welcome aboard. Sounds like you've made a great start. Isn't it awesome the way those hunger pangs diminish so much? Kudos to you for giving up the diet sodas. They stall many many people, believe me. Besides, you have to count the sweetner in them towards your daily allowance (three portions... equiv. to 3 teaspoons). Keep us posted as to your progress. We're all in this together!

| Thanks everyone...I feel very welcome... Just a quick update...today was one week for me and even though I told myself that I was NOT going to weigh-in until induction was over (2 weeks) I just couldn't resist...happily...I have lost 8 pounds. I am pretty happy with this considering I have NOT started exercising yet...that's coming this week...I wanted to give myself one week with no extra stress just to get going...and since I'm 400+ and have not exercised in quite some time I wanted to plan out how and what types of exercises I was going to start with...and although I am still worried a little about the whole 3 cups of vegetables thingy and whether I have been truly following induction to the letter (see my other post) I think it is going very well thus far...again, thanks for the welcomes...
