2nd Time Around

Hi to all of you.

I first went on Atkins in August of 2003. It was great! By November, I had lost 40 pounds, but then Thanksgiving came. Family members brought all of their beautiful creations and well, you know... Temptation kicked in and then I was never able to get back on track. My weight gradually climbed back up to where it was before I started (240 lbs).

Yesterday I woke up and my first thought was "I think I'll go back on Atkins." I didn't have everything that I needed in the way of interesting foods, but I started anyway, knowing that if I didn't start while the desire was fresh, I'd forget about it.

I took in approximately 16g of carbs yesterday and today it has been 10g so far. I'm not having headaches or any of the other associated symptoms yet, but I'm really bored with my food selection. Time to go shopping!

Welcome back to Atkins LuxAeterna (very cool nic btw!) and welcome to the ADBB. Nice to have you with us. You'll find this to be a terrific place for support and inspiration.

Kudos to you for starting straight away while the desire was fresh... a really wise decision. When we put things off, they sometimes never get done (I'm a true procrastinator!).
