Default Hi everyone!!!

Hello,
Today is my first day of induction and first time ever on Atkins. I'm so excited!!!! I have tried every diet and just came off the Body for life diet and it works but not fast enough!!
I weigh as of today 201 lbs. and am 5'7. I just started doing bootcamp 4 days a week starting past monday. I would like to lose 61 pounds in 20weeks which is Sep. 20. We are having a HUGE family party and some family friends I haven't seen in years. Is this practical or at least close to it?

Practical. It is very doable I would say. That means you have almost 5 months and an average of approximately 12 lbs per month. You will see after the 3rd day how easy tis diet really is. Your goal I would say is more than doable. You'll be ready in plenty of time. Stay focused. Keep us posted. God Bless, Joe

Good luck Debs! I am on day two and this seems to be going along much easier than any other plan I've tried. I am also soooo excited to see some results

Hi and welcome! Nice to have you join us here.

It's hard to predict anyone's weight loss in a particular time frame. We are all so very different and there are so many things that affect rate of loss: current weight level, gender, activity level, medications, food sensitivities....
If you stick to the plan you'll be moving in the right direction for sure, and to focus on direction rather than speed is really the best thing you can do.

Hang in there; follow the programme to a T; add exercise, and there's every reason to believe you'll hit your goal or come very close!

You can do it, you WILL do it. Just think of everyone's reaction at the party in Sept. when they see you with the weight gone. Please post a pic of you at the party, and I'm sure there will be a big smile on your face!

This is also my first time on Adkins and in one week I have lost 7 lbs. It's hard but just keep thinking to yourself you want to lose the weight more than eatting that piece of cake or eatting something else you're not supposed to.

Welcome to the board, debs82575! Good luck to you as you strive for your goal. Make sure to follow the plan, exercise, and drink enough water. Then when you thought you've done enough exercise do just a little more . You can make INCREDIBLE progress in 20 weeks.
