| Wow, thank you all for your good wishes and kind welcome. It's like moving into a new neighbourhood and finding you have really good neighbours with similar interests and beliefs. I have googled and yahoo'd my way around now only to find that every artificial sweetner is put down by someone. The big sugar associations really don't want us to be sweet with anything other than sugar and when you see just how much sugar is added to our food you realize that if they did get serious competition it would be serious for them. It is so easy to find low fat foods here but low sugar or even sugar free is difficult. I suppose it is like the man who found a way to run a car on water, the gas companies would soon chase him away. Meanwhile I am really glad to know you all, and wish you all the very best too. Thanks again. Living near the sea is wonderful. You do have to have lived in a town to appreciate it. People who have lived here for ever really take it for granted. We live with beautiful views of hills and lakes. It is a bit like Oregon a place we fell in love with when we visited. I am not too sure how this blood glucose thing works. OH'S high was something like 9/10 he is now down to 5.9 and needs to get down to 4.0 I don't know what that means in American. |
