Default Two weeks in

Hi,

Just signed on recently - but have been lurking for the past two weeks. I'm looking forward to getting to know new people and getting/giving support! The success stories are awesome and so inspiring!

These last two weeks have been very successful - I've lost 10lbs! My husband is so impressed that he has just started Atkins as well - yea!

The two biggest struggles that I think I will face is A - I hate cooking and have been a convience food junkie for years and B - I need to get motivated to exercise. I don't mind it while I'm DOING it, but getting to that point is HARD for me. I did make it to the elliptical once so far LOL. Better than not at all I guess!

So far I love the lack of appetite and don't feel like munching or starved like I have on low calorie/low fat plans.

One quick question though - my husband is a truck driver third shift, what would be good induction munchies that he can bring with him and eat while driving? Ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks for reading

Hi Thea
I'm the same way with exercise, so can't help you there. But I think it's great that your hubby is doing this with you....really does make it so much easier! There are great lunch boxes called "fridge-to-go" They have built in ice packs---just stick the lunchbag in the freezer over night. Your hubby can take anything he wants with him! I also have plug-in thermoses,,,,they plug into the cigarette lighter and you can send a hot meal with him as well. At truck stops, his best bet is breakfast meats and eggs, bunless burgers and such,

Hiya and welcome aboard! How wonderful that your success has converted your husband too!
For portable snacks olives, cheese squares, hard boiled eggs, some veggie "crudites"... (you'd do best to pack it all in a cooler bag though).

I'm like you... getting to the exercise is really hard for me. My solution is to do it as soon as I get up. That way, it's all done for the day and I don't need to worry about it. If I don't do that, it doesn't get done.

Happy Atkineering!
