Welcome Lisa (that's my sister's name)

I also have PCOS and two kids. First kid a fertility baby..second baby...eighteen months later was conceived natural. Lost weight naturally during both pregnancies.

Anyway..since you have already experienced success you know this is the way for you. FYI...there is a PCOS board...a Second Time Around Board and an Induction board...I am sure I will be seeing your success posts around the board.

Stay strong through the 'Flu'

Welcome Lisa....It is nice to hear a story similiar to mine. I too have struggled with PCOS. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. It took many a fertility shots to concieve my blessings, and ended up with gestational diabetes both times. I have never tried atkins before now, I am in my third week and seem to be struggling a little. I have lost about 9 lbs on atkins in 3 weeks ( the other 10 took 3 months on WW). Anyway I read that you were successful before, Did you stay on a strict induciton for those 6 months or did you ,go to the ongoing weight loss. Was just curious how you were so successful before. I am 41 years old and was wanting to try and concieve again. But wanted to be at a healthier weight. Anyway this is all about me. sorry .Welcome hope we can keep each other motivated

Hi everyone? My name is Towanna and I have been on the atkins diet since I had my little girl. She was born in December 07. I started in February 08. When i had her I was 287 i'm now down to 192. I have a problem though. I'm like at a standstill and I haven't lost any more weight. What can I do to jump start the weight loss again? I'm still doing everything i was doing before.

Have you kicked up your cardio workout? There is a dvd by Jeri Love it is wonderful and she will help u out of your standstill, my sister is a avid runner and she was telling me that what works for her is when she intakes more calories on one day and the for the remainder of the week she goes back to her normal eating. Hope this helps. Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love
Yvette

Welcome Lisa.
Smiley. Welcome to you too. You may want to make your own thread about your issue. You can add in there what you are eating, drinking and whether you are working out. People will help out.
