3rd Time Around but new to this Board

Hello Everyone,

Nobody has to sell this diet to me! I know the advantages of this program and believed in it from the beginning (well, from when it became popular a few years ago- I think my mom might have had his book from a long time ago but I don't know if she ever did the diet). For me it is a matter of sticking to it! Hopefully reading the messages on this board repeatedly and learning things I did not know about this before will help me stick to it this time.

My sister and mom had amazing results (100 lbs +) with Atkins and my husband lost 40 lbs. when I made him do it with me. I lost some weight too but did not weigh myself so I am not sure how much weight I actually lost.

It was recently discovered that I, along with quite a few of you on this board, have PCOD/S. My doctor told me it is a metabolic condition related to insulin resistance (and that if I lost weight it would probably go away). So, the natural thing for me to do was go back on Atkins. So, here I am, ready for round 3, prepared to stay on board!
