Hi to everyone from a new low-carb couple!

Hi!!
Amy and Stuart here. We are re-starting Atkins in the morning and just finished our carb blow out feeling very bloated and ready to start feeling better after a few days of induction.

I (Amy typing) lost 52 lbs four years ago on this WOE and now my hubby and I are dedicated to getting healthy and lean. I am a high school teacher on summer vacation and Stuart has gone back to school full-time to be a computer programmer. We're both at our heaviest weights right now and having back and foot problems among other complaints. It is great to find a place like this where we can all share our experiences and support each other!

Welcome to both of you! I am still trying to convert my Husband to Low Carb. I Just can not convience him it is not a diet! Of course he thinks, "I will lose weight", and he does. He lost 50lbs. from Jan 1 -June 1 just by cutting back... buggar!
I gain if I smell chocolate!!! Maybe someday though I will convert him, it sure would make cooking a lot easier. Right now I am cooking 2 different meals every meal.

I am glad you joined us here.
My hubby and I are also at our highest and also doing this together although I am the only one on the board.
We are at two weeks today.
You will get all the support you could need here and it really makes a differance !!

SUE! Thanks for the welcome. I don't think I could handle cooking two meals, so I know I'm lucky that Hubby wants to do this! I'm trying to get him to read the book so he will be intellectually invested. But I am thankful that he is even remotely interested. We'll see how I feel about him when he drops the lbs twice as quickly as I do!!! BTW, I know what you are saying about chocolate! It is the bane of my existence.
