Default Diving into the Maintenance Phase

Okay so it finally dawned on me that while by nature I prefer to be on my own most of the time, when it comes to weightloss I need support and motivation. So here I am.

Why am I not starting on Induction, you ask? I am currently 15 weeks postpartum and am still breastfeeding my little guy. I plan on doing so for at least another year and there is NO WAY I can stomach being at this weight for the next year.

I'm not entirely positive how high my weight got during pregnancy; for the last month or so I refused to even look at the scale during prenatal visits---no need to depress myself Best guess: ~275. Yikes. Anywho, now I'm down to 240-250 (not completely certain the specific weight as my scale is in revolt). So I have lost about 25 pounds thus far. Well, technically, 14 pounds because my "little" guy was 10 lbs 11 oz at birth.

My main goal is to get into the regular habit of exercising and not eating pure junk. I want to eat the best possible foods I can so that I can keep myself healthy. Once I wean the boy (around 18 months or so--seems so far away!) then I will go into Induction.

I confess I have a major sweet tooth that I need to get control of.

I also confess that I got waaaaay too deep into the habit of thinking "oh, I can eat whatever I want, I'm pregnant." Well, since I"m not pregnant anymore, that thinking should stop, right? *not that it was ever correct in the first place*

I normally do NOT lose weight quickly while breastfeeding, so I'm here for the long haul...(this is baby #3 for me)

Hopefully these posts don't have word count limits as I have just written an epic...

I almost forgot: I'm LiLi, 26--I think. I seriously just had to do the math to figure out how old I was I will be 26 in a little less than a month.

My goal is to establish healthy eat habits and maybe lose 1-2 pounds a week.

I think that's about it.

Hi LiLi great plan. Cutting out the sweet stuff will probably go a long way for you. And when you are ready some exercise would probably help. Now with three small ones you are probably on the move a lot any way But if you have some "me" time in there - a walk or a trip to the gym will add to you shaping up.
