| Congratulations on making the great (& sometimes difficult) decision to change your lifestyle and become healthy!!! I am shorter than you and weigh more and now reading what you wrote am glad there was not a medical exam required w/ my life insurance *phew* Welcome and Good Luck! Post often and stick with the rules the way Dr A put them in the 2002 version of the book & you will succeed! Have you read the book yet?

| Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I have not read the book yet. I have been researching Atkins.com. I plan on purchasing the book from half price (love that store) this weekend. In the meantime, I am following the acceptable food list for phase 1. Lots of homework for me this weekend!
