| I'll take a hardboiled egg with mayo please. Love them. I am in my late forties so I hear you on the metabolism issue. Have you had your thyroid checked? Mine is not functioning right so I am taking some meds for it. That part helps. Exercise does help too so walk, walk , walk. I started to learn to run. I thought if I wanted to crazy in my forties this was probably the healthiest "silly thing" I could do. Good luck to you.

| Welcome and I'll take that egg in a Cobb salad ... or an egg and olive salad. lol Congrats for joining and making the commitment...you have some new weapons now: 1) The metabolic advantage is the first silver bullet, and 2) Exercise is the second silver bullet by the way so go for it! 3) What's the third? | Hai guyz! Hello and thanks for the encouragement! Nothing wrong with my thyroid, alas ... bad habits and lousy genes! I hear you about the exercise ... really need to amp up the walking routine; I've got one of those glider-thingie on my porch and I do a 20-minute workout to bad disco music So glad to have found this site and the friendly, helpful people here ... in this Carb-Happy World, we need all the friends we can get, right? ![]() Your new friend, doodette
