Default hello

Hi, my name is Kris and I'm re-starting Atkins after 4 years of straying. I started Atkins the first time in July 2003 at 225 lbs. and I lost 80 lbs to get to 145 by Oct. 2004. At that point, I went through a tough patch in my marriage and turned to food as a comfort. And here I am, 4 years later at my beginning weight once again. Feeling like I did before- ready to get rid of it, but keep it off this time. I am reading and researching again and my plan is to start Atkins again on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. I am a teacher and we go back to school that day. I figure if I'm out of the house, less temptation around during the day! I figure it will give me time to get all my "ducks in a row". The first time around, I did really well with induction because I loved eating eggs! But I developed an allergy to them and I can't eat them at all. So, I'm trying to figure out what to eat for induction for breakfast. When I was eating this WOL before, there were many baking mixes, etc. that I could use in the morning. But I see now that they aren't around anymore. I was thinking of doing the morning bars or shakes for breakfast. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I really want to do this the right way this time and be able to stick with it. The first time, I did induction for 4 months, and didn't really proceed through OWL correctly. So, I'm hoping this board will help me progress through the stages so that I can keep off the weight for good. So, I guess that's me in a nutshell. Thanks for any support/advice you can offer!

Kris

Default Re: hello

what about smoked salmon with cream cheese on a revolution roll or oopsie roll? that might be a start anyway....perhaps in the winter months depending where you live a nice hot bowl of soup would be a great way to start the day.
