| Hi Rita! ![]() Welcome to the site. I am glad you found us as it sounds like you are a success story and I am sure you can share some great insight and recipes. You say you are at 57Kg. If my math conversion skills are correct that is 114 pounds. Is this not a good weight? How tall are you? With the spin classes and running everyweek I am sure you have a good amount of muscle. I am concerned that you think you need to lose more. I have a daughter that weighs 4 pounds more than you and wears a size 1. The doctor is concerned about her weight as she is 5'5". I have had to create more calories for her in her meal plan. ( she is a runner). |

| 57 kg is about 125 pound. (I am 59kg and 130 pound - I am 5'2'') How tall are you Rita? The last bit can be stubborn. I knew that once I hit the 50s with my weight I would slow down - I have not been under 60 since I was a teen and I expected my body to rebel big time. Are you losing inches? I found that I gone down pant sized even though my weight have been constant due to my exercising.

| Hi everyone, Thanks for all your help I’m 4'11, which makes me still overweight according to the BMI. I’m supposed to be around the 55 kg mark, but I’m happy to be a little less to give me room to fluctuate. I know I have lost a heap of weight, and I’m really quite happy with my progress, but I still seem to be carrying around a few kg of weight that show. I have this roundness to my belly that I really hate. I have been loosing inches, and I am finding that I’m going down in clothes sizes but my weight is maintaining itself. I bought myself a pair of size 8 (Australian, which is a US 4) shorts one month ago and now am finding that they are big around my waist and hips. I don’t know how that all works, and why I’m losing inches but not weight. I’m just trying to get rid of the stubborn roundness to my belly. |

must be muscle. I hear spin class it a really hard workout. Were you intimidated the first time you went? Were you one of those people addicted to it from the first time? I have been at a gym where they had a spin class and they turned the lights off and had strobes going with this really awesome beat blaring on the sound system. It was like a dance club on bikes! It intimidated the heck out of me and I never went inside! LOL Your an inspiration thanks for sharing |

| Spin class is the best. My obsession started two years ago at fernwood gym. I had to stop going tho, due to uni commitments. I've recently started up again at the local gym and im loving it. Im in my element during spin classes, i get rite into it. You should all try it! Once you start, you wont be able to stop!!! Oh, and it works! |

| think of it this way... 1 lb of fat = a soft ball 1 lb of muscke = a golf ball so 50 k of fat is a larger size than 50k of muscle... even tho the scale is the same.. you are getting smaller.... its a GOOD thing.... go by the sizes not the scale... |
