Default Atkins After a Miscarraige

Hello Everyone and thanks for welcoming me to your board.

My name is Casey a I recently started Atkins for the second time. The first time around was about five months ago, after I was married in April we went on a cruise where I gained 10 pounds in just 14 days! ug.

I went on Atkins and lost five pounds in the first week!! Stayed on Atkins but found myself stalling and gained about 2 pounds......It turned about I was about 3 weeks pregnant, which would explain the gain. This was our first baby......so I set no diet for myself and ended up gaining an additional 22 pounds by the fourth month....then lost the baby on 9/18.

I knew I needed to get right back on Atkins, and in the last week, I went down 7 pounds! Yesterday I also joined a gym....trying to fill the need to belong to something healthy and improve my sprirts.

We can try again for another baby in about two months!

I'm hoping to meet friends on the board to talk online and share support with.

Thanks again
Casey

Hi Casey,
Welcome

This is a great place for you to find support and encouragement. It sounds like you are thinking ahead and moving forward. Your first post and you are already an inspiration.

wow, 7 pounds in one week is excellent.

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarraige. Its really healthy that you are taking care of yourself on the whole. I truly feel for your loss and I think it is awesome that you are looking toward the future.

If you need to vent or have any questions dont hesitate to ask. Of course with the huge weight loss you have had I may be asking you!

very sorry for your loss...

excersice can be a great mood lifter... endorphines or something like that...
some advice about the atkins board...
1 come here often
2 read everything
3 ask questions

you will find amazing support and encoragement.. it really helps... its like having access to a support group 24/7

and dont feel like you just have to talk diet and excersice.. really.. if you just need to vent and talk about anything at all.. its ok .. everyone here is going thru same/similar issues/ feelings and you will always find someone to listen (read?) and give you some support and encouragement..

YOU CAN DO IT
