| Welcome back, Debbie. Yes, the first few days are hard but if you get enough fat and protein, your cravings should disappear quickly. Remember to drink lots of water and get your veggies in. Full fat salad dressing helps alot. I have the same problem with my dh, in that he eats the same way he always has but the diet keeps me feeling so full that I'm not tempted at all by the pasta and pies. You really have to want to do this. Half-heartedness won't do. Stick to the plan and visualize yourself as you want to be, and you'll do fine. Good luck!! |

| hi and welcome back! i bet that in no time you will be feeling great and back in the grove....the atkins way of eating will do that! i hear ya on "what the rest of the family likes to eat"...my family was the same. but as time has passed, THEY TOO have learned to cut the carbs and eat far more veggies and good stuff. it has been a healthy change for ALL of us! you are setting a good example for your whole family. in time, they may not completely drop the higher carb foods but they will probably eliminate any and all junk and expand their repetoire of yummy veggies! good luck getting started and let us know how it goes |
