Let Me Introduce Myself!

Hello All!
I am so glad I found this great forum. I have been doing Atkins for the past month and 1/2 and couldn't be happier with my results! I have lost about 20 pounds and still have another 20 to go. I am doing this to lose baby weight and get healthy and happy so my daughter will have a healthy body role model.

I am a full-time student, full-time Mom, and I teach...so I'm busy as can be, but I love the Atkins way of eating because it keeps me satisfied, full, and I really don't have any desire to cheat and eat carbs!

I joined this site to get advice, support, and ideas (recipes please!).

I have discovered some great recipes on my own (my induction friendly pumpkin pie is to die for!), but I am always looking for new ways to keep things interesting for my taste buds.

Well, I think I've gone on enough...

Hi and welcome to both of you. For recipes, try the Atkins Food and recipes forum. The key to success is to visit often, maybe start a journal and join a challenge or two. And ask any questions you might have. We are here to help.

Welcome and congrats on the weight loss!!! I've been on Atkins about two weeks now and on the Board for about one week- down 9 lbs and weighing in again Friday. I've really been enjoying it. You seem so busy with so much to do.....how do you find the time???? lol.

Like you I am lossing "baby weight", however we lost our first child at 14 weeks.....so there is no baby, but we plan on trying again in a few months and I want to be ready and healthy when we do, so i'm sticking with this woe even after I've lost the weight (as best I can) lol.

Welcome again and keep looking around, the site is great.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I appreciate it! It's definitely motivating. Looking around at everyone's weight-loss inspires me.

And Casey, I am so excited that we have the same goals! I am currently at 141 and my goal weight is 125...we can keep on track together. I love your mini goals too! I got a facial when I lost the first 10 pounds and a new jacket at 20 pounds. At 125 (a weight I haven't been at since MIDDLE SCHOOL), I am going on a cruise!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage though. My daughter was a twin and we lost her brother/sister at 16 weeks. Hang in there!
