Default Very new to Atkin and diet.

Hello everyone! This is my first time here and it seems very interesting. I am truly new so I may need help with stuff but I will try my best to look around. Here is a little info about me.

I am 19 years old. I've been overweight since my teenage years. I weigh 250 pounds but I don't really look obese. I just look little chubby. I want to be slim and lose weight really bad. Atleast weigh 190-200 pounds would be great for me. I would LOVE to try this new diet out. Eating low carbs. I got interesting because my best friend has lost weight on it and I take his word for it. I know for a fact right now, the challenge is finding the foods to eat lol and sticking with it. You will see me posting here soon enough! I will begin tommorrow morning! Thanks guys. =] God bless.

Hi Bringy be sure to get the book....it really helps.
As for this new diet, the Atkins diet has been around since the 1970's, and low carb has been used in the medical community at least since the late 1700's Heck that's almost as old as me

Hello and thank you for the quick reply. This community seems very friendly. Is there a guide on the book? or I have to buy this book? As far as I can see, I see guides on the first 14 days thing. But I will be sure to follow the guide here.

This place is great in telling you the "guide" as you call it, both induction and the OWL. The book, however, will tell you why you're doing it and why it works and what you need to know about your body to make sure your loss is for life. If budget is a factor, I got mine on ebay for less than $8 with the shipping.

You can also look for a used book store and see if they have a copy. The best would be the 2002 edition but if you can only find the 1999 edition that would work for now but you would have to look on here for the rungs until you can get the 2002.

Thank you guys so much. I will get the book either today or tommorrow. I started my first day today in atkins. Feels weird but I can do it since I love meat anyway lol. Thanks for the reply.

Oh my goodness guys. This is my update. I'M SO HAPPY! I never believed this work with LOW CARB and little excercise daily. I weigh 250 and now I'm at 242. I weighed myself this morning on a empty stomach before breakfast. This is truly amazing. It's been only 5 days. It could be mostly my water weight but anyway I LOVE IT.
