| Hi there & welcome! ![]() Congratulations on deciding to start on your way to a healthier lifestyle! ![]() I can say that personally for me, Atkins is extremely easy and rewarding and as far as organization, there are definitely ways to accomodate a busy schedule. I work full time as well and am always running someplace or another, but on Day 12, I can honestly say that I hardly have to think about what where and when I'm going to eat. Let me explain, for the first several days, I had stocked up on easy to carry breakfasts and lunches for work. (i.e., veggie breakfast sausages, hard boiled eggs, turkey and chicken breast and string cheese, as well as, english cucumber that you just take the plastic off and don't need to wash, a bag of rinsed lettuce and sugar snap peas.) Easy peasy! Plus, once you begin Atkins, you'll notice that you stay fuller, longer & just carrying some string cheese (or another approved snack) along will satisfy you until your next meal! I'm sure that others have great suggestions as well, so don't be afraid to check out the other threads to get some tips! I spend as much time as possible reading what others have posted to find out what works, etc. Good luck & always stop in for help, encouragement or advice! Like someone just told me-we're all in this together! |

| Hi Emlc and welcome. I agree with Heather. This way of life can accomodate a busy schedule. I will suggest that you have a plan. Nothing can undermine your success like being tired and hungry. Keep legal snacks on hand. I also find it helpful to prepare meals in advance. So on long hard days, I just pop something in the microwave. Best of luck to you. |
