| Hi, Sylvynne ![]() Thanks for sharing your story. Holy cow, you stay so busy! Your schedule wears me out, just reading about it. Congrats on your success so far! Have you read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution yet? That is the book that this board is centered around. The Atkins WOE (way of eating) is not a high protein diet, but rather, a moderate protein one. Healthy fats (we avoid trans fats) are key to making the plan work. Too much protein converts to glucose, and that's not what we want. I just wanted to make sure that you're getting some fat in, because you didn't mention it in your post. Of course, we haven't seen your menu, so perhaps you are getting adequate fat. It's not hard at all to incorporate fat into your meal plans. Knowledge is power! Soak in as much information from the book and this board as you can. I still re-read the book every now and then, to stay on top of my game. Best wishes to you! |
