| Maybe post in the Review my menu forum. Be specific as to what you eat for each meal, snacks and everything you drink and add amounts. Do you mind telling us your height? I may impact how much it is reasonably for you to expect to lose. Also are you breast feeding? In which case you should not really do induction. I hope that is some help. Good luck.

| Hi, there Welcome to ADBB! ![]() OK, a few things... If you can lose 5 - 10% of the total amount of weight you want to lose within the 2 week Induction, you don't have a high metabolic resistance to weight loss. The difference between 167 and 135 is 32 pounds. 5 to 10% of 32 pounds is 1.6 to 3.2 pounds, so you have lost more than 10% - congratulations! ![]() It is very important to accept the fact that weight does not come off in a linear fashion, nor does everyone lose at the same rate. I only averaged a loss of between 1 and 2 pounds a week, which means that some weeks I lost 2, some weeks I lost 1, and some weeks I lost 0 pounds. I know that it's easier said than done, but you need to try to view this journey as a lifestyle change, and not a race to lose weight. As you get closer to your goal weight, the weight does (and should) come off slower. About those strips and ketosis - I used them once, then threw them away. You don't have to be in ketosis to lose weight, and you can be in ketosis and not lose weight. The bottle that I bought didn't show that I was ketosis, even though I was positive that I was. So, I peed on about 6 of them at one time... one of them showed positve, and the others showed negative. So my conclusion is that there are a lot of "dud" sticks out there. And I don't need those head games, so ditched them. Just make sure that you are following the plan to the letter. Re-read your book, and read as much as you can on the board. There is so much great information available here, and lots of nice folks to help you out. As Liv mentioned,we also have a "Review My Menu" forum where you can list your foods (include exact amounts and the water you are drinking). Maybe someone will find something that you have missed. The link to that forum (and some other helpful spots) are included in this link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-new-read.html (If you are NEW, READ THIS!) Hang in there - you really are doing great! |

| Prettyvivi congrats on the 4 pounds! Just think you are 4 pounds lighter! Atkins is a wonderful way to lose weight, but it is not a magic potion. Some weeks you will lose a lot, others you will not lose any, or a very small amount. It sounds to me you are right on target. The worst thing you can do on this journey is be impatient and hard on yourself. The most successful people here will tell you their stories of how little they lost at times. Read the Sticky: Weight Loss is Not Linear. It will help tremendously, and make you not lose your mind trying to figure out what is 'wrong' when nothing is. Keep up the great work and post a lot. |
