Default Started induction Dec 19

Hi all!

I started induction into adkins on Dec 19th. This is not the first time I've done Adkins. I actually did it in 05' with GREAT success. I lost 60lbs in three months, and got pregnant 6 months later. That was ok since I only gained 10 pounds while pregnant and by the time I left the hospital, it was all gone Well, now my son is 2 and I found myself the exact weight I was when I started the program initially! Meaning, I weigh more now than I did when I went in to deliver my son!!! My stomach actually looks like Im still pregnant.

I've tried several times to start back but found the cravings to much to handle. But this time something was different.

A friend of mine called to asked what size dress I wore so that he could buy a Christmas gift. I was totally embarrassed! I told him just to get me a gift card!!!!!

That lit a fire under me or something. I started on the 19 and today Ive lost 7 lbs. Excellent not to have been a week yet.

Yes, Im still having cravings, especially when I go to McDonalds and buy for my son, but thus far I've held on.

I'm very happy to have found this site. Other people going through or have gone through the same thing!

Hi and welcome! I started here recently also and have made it a life-changing event for me. No more excuses, and now am just looking ahead for the future! I know you can do it, and be sure to keep us posted on your weight loss!!!

Hi Diva, your doing GREAT. I am worried about those cravings though, you should be making/eating foods that you just love so you don't crave. Are you eating something that might be causing those cravings

I dont think that Im eating anything to cause the cravings. Pretty much only chicken and fish and snacks such as cheese.

I think the hardest part is seeing the food in my home. My son loves oreos but so do I and its super hard to give them to him and smell them without wanting to stuff one in my mouth!!!

Are you eating any veggies? How are you doing drinking your water? These two things will help you get past some of the cravings.
