| Deet2005, welcome ! I plan on staying on plan at our family's Christmas dinners ~ tonight and tomorrow. To set yourself up for success be prepared. I'm not sure what's on you menu tomorrow, but some great low-carb, induction-friendly snacks are deviled eggs, tuna with mayo, cheese, hard salami (not the best choice, but I eat it in a pinch), green beans with butter, olives, shrimp cocktail (make a low-carb cocktail sauce by mixing Heinz low-carb ketchup with horseradish to taste) otherwise you can dip the shrimp in a mayo/mustard mix.Best of luck to you...stay strong...you can do it!!!!! |

| I too started my New Years resolution early. I started in September around my birthday. It has now been 14 weeks and I am down 54 lbs. If I had listened to the nay-sayers and waited till after the holidays I would have probably been 10 pounds heavier instead. Great job starting early. If it does not kill you, it will make you stronger. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

| Hello Deet, I am starting this weekend also. I am spending a quiet xmas eve and have all day tomorrow to plan my eating and exercise schedule. Good luck staying on plan for the holidays. No sense in gaining weight for the next week and then starting. Merry Christmas Everyone, Teresa |

| Congratulations on starting early and avoiding those extra holiday pounds! I find it easy to get through the Christmas dinners by eating all the turkey, ham and buttered veggies I want. There is usually a veggie tray somewhere too with olivies, celery and cauliflower on it. I just eat my fill and skip all the carbs without feeling the least bit deprived. Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress! |
