| Hi Sally, Thank you for the reply...you look amazing! I got about 12 kg to lose, how much would be possible to lose in the first 4 weeks? Am I unreasonable to think that 7kg is about a good goal? Sascha |

| Welcome Sasha Welcome to ADBB. Happy New Year. Sounds like you've decided it is time for a change. Great. You ask a good question but it is impossible to answer without being able to see into the future. We are all so different when it comes to how fast we lose. The general pattern is that the more you have to lose the faster it comes off in the beginning. What is true is that following the rules we will get healthier. Good luck to you.

| Liv is right Sascha... it's so hard to tell how fast you will lose. There are so many factors: age, gender, metabolism, appetite level, activity level, medical issues, pharmaceuticals.... etc. etc. Yes, you'll generally lose faster at the beginning and slow down as you approach goal (those last pesky lbs can be the very devil!!!) but the important thing is direction rather than speed. Take things day by day and when you're at goal the losing phase will seem to have passed in a flash.
