Default Starting Over Again

I am back to do this again. Im a married school teacher and mommy of 2. I also have a hubby whose in top notch shape ! I actually started induction on 12/29/08 thinking I would get a headstart on New Year's. So far is has worked out well and I am down six pounds! Now the challenge will be when I return to work and the diet sabotoge devils will be lurking! Hopefully I can stick to it this time around. Wish me luck, I know I will need it!

Congratulations on the 6 pounds. That is good. Do you have to tell people that you are dieting? Sometimes people give you less pressure when they do not know.

Since we are used to eating "good" at work with every other day potlucks, people will notice when I DONT reach for the smothered potatoes and for the ice cream. When they notice that you are trying to eat healthy, they find broadcast it for sheer embarrassment. Oh well...Im determined this time so we will see. Tomorrow is the test. I managed to bake 2 cheesecakes today for our Sunday dinner and make homemade mashed potatoes and didnt have a bite. That was a shock but I did it! Yeah me!

Red face Re: Starting Over Again

I know exactly how it is with food at work. My company gets breakfast for us every morning...BAGELS!!!

I find it's good to not let co-workers know that you are trying to change your eating habits, after all, I think the Atkins way is more of a lifestyle adjustment than a diet (i hate word DIET)...but last year when i tried to do a diet and let some co-workers now, it just felt embarrassing..

either way, good luck with this new beginning

Lol...I feel your pain. I'm a school psychologist and in the schools. It seems like the break room/lounge always has some kind of homemade good in it!!...and don't get me started on everyone wanting to order out. Good luck and stay strong...you'll be so proud!!
