Default Newbie seeking motivation and support

Hi, I'm 30 and 149lbs at 5ft 3in. I carry my weight on my face, arms, stomach, butt, thighs and well everywere! I look like a short puddle of fat. I lost weight with Atkins before my wedding in 2008 and was down to 139lbs but have put it back on since. I'm hoping to stick with it this time but husband not going to help as he does not agree with the diet. Need support! I know it works for me. Thanks in advance for your help. B.

Welcome back Browneyes and kudos to you for hopping back on the wagon despite your husband not being supportive. I know what that's all about as my family don't support me either. Living in Italy, families are loathe to put aside the pasta and pizza!! Anyhow, I still got to goal and have maintained for several years now, so believe me, it can be done.

You'll find this board invaluable for the support you're lacking at home. Visit often and make use of all the activities etc. Soon you won't describe yourself as a puddle of fat anymore and will be feeling great about yourself.

Keep us posted! We're behind you all the way.

hey Browneyes!!! Glad you came back - you're in the right place. Don't worry about hubby, just stay strong, because you already said you know it works for you, and because you can prove him wrong!! That's always a good excuse for sticking with it!!

Sally is right, you have all the support on this board (and more) than you need. Anything you need, any question you can think of you can get someone here to help.
