Welcome gettinfab! I'm a fellow Wisconsinite forced to live in Georgia for the moment. If you haven't read the book, do so. Keeping in touch with all of us here will keep your dedication going. It's amazing that once you join the community here you really don't want to let your new friends down. Keep posting and keep it up.

What's a serving size? Dr. A says that you can eat as much as you like of these foods, but quit when you feel satisfied. You will notice that your appetite will decrease and while gorging yourself on steak and chicken wings is fun, you will soon tire of it and won't feel like eating. After about 3 weeks of induction I noticed I was only eating about 800 calories a day. I was just never hungry. This stalled me. I had to get some steak and butter and get some calories. Be careful scarfing sausage in Wisconsin. I love Usingers brats, but they have carbs. I can't get them down here. Make sure you have a good variety of meats to choose from or you will lose interest. I always have some beef, pork, chicken and turkey on hand so I never eat the same meat twice in a row. Also, the recipe forum has awesome varieties. I have been doing this on and off for years and I am amazed at how many smart people can make great low carb food. Keep the questions coming and stay on the path.
