| The main thing is getting the book and doing Atkins right... so you're doing fine there! As far as veggies, check out the recipe section on this site and also Linda's Low Carb Recipes. You can often hide veggies in other foods so that you are barely aware you are eating them. Exercise... choose something you can stick with and stick to a schedule no matter what else you have to let slide. You CAN do this!!!! Welcome! |

| Welcome Logar I have the same problem with water Even if you only exercise 10 minutes a day, like a walk around the block it gets to be a habit and you'll find you really start to enjoy it. Soups, casseroles are all good ways to hide the veggies, especially when the recipe calls for bacon and cheese. |

| I've got to say- I've been trying to hide veggies in various dishes my whole life. Problem is, I always know those sneaky bastardos are in there. I do have a feeling that my tastes will change with this new way of life. I'll just start with the few veggies that I find palatable- asparagus, broccoli and green beans- and use them as "gateway" veggies. |

| Welcome aboard Logar! Nice to have you with us. Kudos to you for deciding to read the book and follow the plan to the letter. That's the surest way to success. Maybe you could try a small portion of a new veggie every couple of days or so... you might find you're pleasantly surprised by some. I've seen veggie haters on this board gradually turn into veggie lovers as they try new taste sensations and new recipes. Happy Atkineering!

| Try jicama and pumpkin. I like poppers, (stuffed jalapenos) and I found that if you buy frozen cauliflower it has less cauliflower taste. You can make Faux fried rice and lots of great meals with them. |

| There are so many veggies out there that it would be hard to not find some you like because they are all so different. And don't forget that you're allowed to have them with full fat dressing, sauted in butter or oil and smothered in cheese. Keep trying new things and I think you'll be surprised at what you find. You can even eat the toppings off a pizza, just not the crust! Good luck to you. I know you can do it! |
