| Well, we promise not to bite. :P Welcome back! Weight-wise, you're not really at the beginning -- you've only gained back half of what you lost. Those 7 lbs will probably be gone in a few weeks. Good luck!

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" You will find the people here to be very supportive and understanding of your situation. There are very many of us (probably most of us!) who have had to make more than one attempt to reach goal. I am one of them! After losing 60 pounds, I strayed from the path for much the same reason that you did... I encountered an unexpected health problem that sent me into a tailspin, and ended up gaining back more than half of the weight that I had taken off. So we understand! Please don't feel like a failure... here is a passage that I came across, that I love. Please take it to heart, and believe in yourself... "You cannot have the success you seek without experiencing some failures. Any experience can be transformed into something of value. Everything depends on the way you look at things. What are stumbling blocks and defeat before you, can be stepping stones to victory if you remain determined. In all of your adversities lie the seeds of equivalent advantages. In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the next time. View your problems as opportunities. When it's dark enough, you can see the stars." ![]() Best wishes to you! |

| Welcome back, hoping4success. Don't be ashamed... those negative emotions will just hinder your progress. Just start over, and take it one day at a time. Don't worry about the weight coming off so much as just eating what you are supposed to be eating. If you do that, the weight will come off without a hassle in its own time. Glad you had the courage to start over! |

| Welcome back because this is the right place for you to be at this time in your life when you're feeling so down. We are here to help. And even if the pounds don't come off as fast as you would like them to, just think how much better you will feel from just being off the carbs while you wait. Keep coming back and posting so we can help in whatever way we can. |
