| Joann -- it's nice to have another lady near my age here! Welcome back - I'm glad you got back on track before your weight really got out of hand! You've lost those 22 pounds before, and I see 3 are already gone again - so congratulations! | Hi Carole, thanks for the info. I will check it out. down 6lbs now....not as fast as I had hoped but 6 lbs off is better than 6lbs on. I haven't started the exercise yet and I know its a big part of it. I have been on induction now for 2 weeks...and I am trying to stick to the max 20 carbs...lol...but i want to stay on it for a couple more weeks...how long do you recommend staying on induction? thanks, Joanne. |

| Hi Jo -- moving to OWL is a personal decision but I know I stayed 2 weeks longer (total of 1 month) and when I started up the rungs I didn't seem to loose anything - I read somewhere in the book (and can't find it now) that there is no need to stay on induction but if you have a lot of weight (I think he was talking 100 pounds or more) to stay....if not move on. About the same time I started onto the OWL portion I got a horrible case of the flu/virus whatever was going around, so from that point on I never really lost weight until I came back to reinduction. You have lost real well so far -- add your exercise, that will really kick your weight loss in gear. Go to the challenge area and try some of them at the first of the month -- it doesn't cost a thing and keeps you accountable for getting your body moving. ALSO get your water in everyday -- AT LEAST 64 ounces - that will help with the weight loss also, you need something to help flush out all the nasties. You're doing great!!! Keep up the good work

| Hi Jo, I am a newbie too, with a closet full of nice clothes that I want to fit into again I have put a moratorium on clothes shopping because I need the motivation to lose weight. Either that or involuntary nudity! Good luck! |
