| Welcome, Andrew! Here's a link that will get you off to a proper start. Before You Begin Atkins (BEFORE you begin the Atkins Nutritional Approach...). Read that, then get Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002). It's almost impossible to do this way of eating properly without having it to refer to. There is a wonderful recipe section on this board. And Linda's Low Carb Recipes is an excellent Atkins-friendly site. You CAN reach your goal... and stay there.... if you commit to the Atkins way of eating! |

| Hi Andrew Welcome aboard! I used to advise people not to let themselves get bored with the same food over and over, but it seems that some are more comfortable with consistency, so I guess it depends on where you're coming from. Me, I like to play with my food, and will experiment with the allowed ingredients to get as many different tastes as possible. That's even doable during induction. I suggest, even though you have a lot to lose, that you move onto Rung 1 after the two week induction. Stay there for a while if you like, but the extra veggies are good for you both nutrition wise and with regularity Come join us in the Century Club for those with 100+ pounds to lose! |
