Smile new but on induction for 3wks

Hi to everyone. I am new to the board. I been doing Atkins for 3 weeks now. I been reading the board for that long to but was having troubles getting on. I have lost 6lbs.
I am 5'3" and weighing in at 170lbs since I lost that 6lbs. I am hoping to get my weight down to 130 by August. But I will be ok at 140lbs.
I have always been on the heavy side even in school. I been on every kind of diet you can think of, even pills from the doctors. The least amount I weighed is 148lbs. I lost that on weight watchers but of course it didn't last. My weakness is bread. To my surprise I haven't crave bread since I started this 3 weeks ago.

My weakness was bread, too. The longer you can stay away from it, the easier it becomes. Keep that great momentum going!

Hello! I'm on two weeks induction now. I love how my cravings stopped too. I make my husbands lunch in the morning, fix my 15 mo. meals to go, cook for my family after work & still no cravings. Well, it's not that I make junk for them, but there's always the usual culprits like sandwich bread, toast, waffle, milk, orange juice, whole wheat pasta, my homemade tomato sauce....etc. Anyway, I have no desire to take one bite! I love it! Best of luck to you! I wish you much success on your journey!

Hey Kimber!

This is my fourth week and ive got one more pound before i hit the 170 pound mark. Im like you Ive always been on the heavy side and never was below 150 pounds. Actually we have similar stats i think because im 5'3 also and im on my fourth week of Atkins.

I, too have lost all cravings and feel great and don't mind making sweets for the kids for their dessert time and for us bread is a big deal. I make homemade bread all the time and it also doesnt bother me one bit.
